Amazon Affiliate Program

The holidays are coming up and if you are not an Amazon Affiliate, you need to be! Lots of people shop on Amazon for their favorite things, and you need to get a piece of the action. All you need to do is to go to www.amazon.com/affiliates and sign up for an affiliate account. If you already shop on amazon, then login and go down to the bottom.

  Photobucket

Once you're all set up to promote affiliate offers, then you need to build a webpage that advertises that product. Places (that I am not endorsing) that you can do this at are hubpages, weebly, squidoo, webs, wix, blikpage, etc. Find a place that will let you post for free. Next setup the page to have your keyword (the searchable name of the product) in the web address, the header, and the article heading. This is very important, because it will help you out in the google rankings. Then write an article or product review of the item you are promoting. Lastly, grab the product link code from Amazon and insert it in your text like this:

Keyword   which is done with     <a href="site to link to">your product keyword</a>

FYI, this is html. Or you can post an active picture that will link to your affiliate offer. This can be achieved by downloading the picture that you want to use. Go to wwww.photobucket.com and create a free account. Upload the picture to photobucket and then grab the html code off of the picture you just uploaded (check your album). You will need to change the html code to use it. Just youtube this part if you you need help with this. Publish this page and then you are ready to get commissions. To improve your site authority and pagerank with Google, create 4 or 5 web 2.0 sites that also review the product or product accessories for the main product you want people to click. On each web 2.0 site, build a backlink to your main page and this will help it out rank better and faster on Google.
